Inside TechWolf: Life as an AI implementation consultant

Meet JD, one of our brilliant AI Implementation Consultants on the Professional Services (PS) team. Curious what that role actually means? Read on to find out what her day-to-day looks like, how she ended up building a now-company-wide tech solution at our company hackathon, and why a three-month stint in London changed her outlook on teamwork.
Powering workforce transformation (and team spirit)
JD is an AI Implementation Consultant on our PS team, responsible for making sure our product smoothly integrates into the customer’s existing tech stack. Think: connecting TechWolf to platforms like SAP, Workday, MS Teams or People Analytics tools, creating the foundational data layer that enterprises need to drive workforce transformation at scale.
But what really sets the team apart?
“We’re like puzzle pieces that fit together, everyone brings different experiences to the table, and that’s exactly what makes us strong. There’s lots of openness, and we make a real effort to bond outside of work too – lunches, drinks, spontaneous meetups, even quarterly teambuildings!”

A Day in the life (Spoiler: no two are the same)
From customer calls to loading in HR data, it’s a mix of people, platforms and problem-solving:
- Morning? Sync with the customer, making sure open actions are on track and we’re aligned across projects (which can vary from hands-on early implementation to more hands-off weekly touchpoints).
- Afternoon? You might find JD reviewing a customer’s data setup or checking if the integration between TechWolf and their systems is humming smoothly.
- Throughout the week? Collaboration with nearly every team across TechWolf – from Product and Engineering to Customer Success and Presales. “That’s the beauty of PS – you get to see so many parts of the company.”
Every project pairs an AI Implementation Consultant with a Skills Transformation Consultant: giving two angles, two brains, and lots of chances to learn from each other.
Hackathon Magic: turning a concept into a company tool
One of JD's proudest moments at TechWolf? The birth of FREDDI, our internal self-service portal.
“It started at the TechWolf Hackathon – 2 days in the Belgian countryside with 40 colleagues. We formed mixed teams across departments and built something we believed could really make a difference.”
That “something” became FREDDI – a portal that automates parts of the PS team’s work that used to rely heavily on our Engineering team. Now, it’s used company-wide.
“Seeing that idea evolve into a real tool still feels surreal. Huge shoutout to the whole hackathon team and Engineering crew that made it possible!”

From Professional Services to Presales – in London
As part of her journey at TechWolf, JD also spent three months as a member of the Presales team in London.
“Before that, I only saw a small sliver of what Presales did. Being there helped me understand the full sales cycle and where PS fits in. I also shared customer stories and feedback from our implementations – helping the team use real-life insights in prospect conversations.”
Bonus? A few months in one of the world’s most exciting cities, surrounded by an equally exciting group of UK colleagues.

Learning by doing (and shaping the way we work)
Coming from a more mature company where processes were set in stone, one of the biggest shifts was learning that here, you can shape things yourself.
“Some processes weren’t as mature, and at first, that was a challenge. But I quickly realized I had the freedom to shape them – based on my own experience and input from the team.”
Advice for Future Wolves?
If you’re thinking about joining, be ready to learn – fast. The HR tech space moves quickly, and at TechWolf, you’ll grow by working on real projects that shape the future of work. You also have the freedom to do things your way – and that makes all the difference.
