Does completed learning content count as skill evidence?
Course completions count as skill evidence when the course description comes with them; what we pull per platform and what to filter out.
Yes. LMS data is the record your learning management system keeps: the course catalog, plus who completed what and when. Learning platforms are standard, pre-built integrations: Cornerstone, Degreed, LinkedIn Learning, Udemy, Workday Learning, and SAP SuccessFactors Learning.
We pull two things per platform: course data, including the course description text, and learning history. Both matter. Our models infer skills from the description text, so a completion without a description behind it can't become a skill. We count completions only; enrollments and in-progress courses aren't evidence.
Two practical recommendations. Filter out mandatory compliance training before sending it: everyone completes it, so it adds volume without differentiating anyone. And know that LinkedIn Learning restricts catalog exports, so some customers can only send completions without descriptions. Routing the data through your primary LMS usually solves that.
